New Beginnings

Dr. Wayne Marshall's announcement at Longview Heights Baptist Church on September 9, 2015. It has been said that a church’s success should not be measured by its seating capacity, but rather its sending capacity!

Across the years, the DNA of Longview Heights has been bent toward multiplication. We have multiplied our efforts and expanded the Kingdom by sending short term mission teams and by sending out leaders to plant churches and to serve as pastors and missionaries all around the world.

We have sent leaders to places like Ecuador, Indiana, East Tennessee, Iowa, New Orleans, and teams to almost every corner of the world.

Why am I sharing this tonight? 5 years ago, the Hanberrys came to LHBC and have served faithfully in a role of making disciples, developing small groups, and leading in outreach.

Scott has accepted a call to become the next Senior Pastor of Hardy Street Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

He will complete his duties here at the end of this month, and will transition to that new role beginning in October.

We see this as an extension of the ministry of LHBC and want this to be a partnership in ministry in the days ahead.

We will commission the Hanberrys on September 27 and look forward to partnership in the future!
