Sitting in a missions class at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1994, I met Mike Palmer... and at that time, we could have never imagined what that relationship would become.
Over the course of the past 23 years, Mike has become my closest friend in ministry, one of my most favorite preachers, and a significant part of our family's journey! I am excited to announce that on Sunday, August 13th during the morning worship service at Hardy Street, we will hear from Mike Palmer, missionary & church planting pastor from Salmon, Idaho. Mike serves as Pastor of Salmon Valley Baptist Church and the Lemhi River Cowboy Church. He has served in ministry in Idaho for 20 years. Mike is the co-director and co-founder of the Wilderness Association of Cowboy Churches and he is actively involved in church planting and missions. Mike also works with the North American Mission Board and the Utah-Idaho SBC to assess, coach, and mentor church planters. Mike and I had the great privilege of starting the Western Preacher School eight years ago and have trained and equipped hundreds through this unique ministry. Mike is traveling to Hattiesburg to help lead the first ever Pine Belt Preacher School. We gladly welcome Mike to the pulpit of Hardy Street and we look forward to hearing from him. Hope you'll mark your calendar and join us!
